The IC Team currently has various ongoing training and educational programs currently taking place. The IC Team conducts various types of training for law enforcement officials, security agencies, Fire Department officials, Health Department officials, City Code Enforcement officials and other entities that are involved with intellectual property matters in one way or another. We value the "team concept".
Investigative Consultants has been on the forefront of enlisting the assistance of various entities in our efforts to combat piracy and counterfeiting on behalf of our clients. We have been asked to participate on numerous different taskforces that have been comprised of various agencies based on the training we have provided. Our team understands that counterfeiting and piracy are intertwined with various other crimes that affect the community. We understand the need to educate the public and law enforcement officials about the “big picture” of intellectual property crimes and the affects these crimes have on our communities.
Investigative Consultants was instrumental in assisting with the organization of the Los Angeles Counterfeiting and Piracy Taskforce that was formed in 2007. Investigative Consultants assisted in the first taskforce action that resulted in a multi-agency Law Enforcement action that netted the recovery of over 10 million dollars in counterfeit and pirated merchandise and the arrests of 26 people in one day.
The IC Team has also assisted in organizing Intellectual Property Taskforces in the states of Arizona, Oregon, and Washington. These taskforces are compromised of both state and federal law enforcement agencies, who have come together to jointly combat intellectual property crimes.
Investigative Consultants realizes the importance of enlisting the assistance of all entities that may be involved in intellectual property and being a part of a wide-ranging and effective team.
The IC Team has trained over 10,000 people since 1996 in the methods of identifying counterfeit / pirated merchandise and conducting intellectual property investigations. The members of the IC Team have been called upon by numerous federal and state agencies to provide various types of training.
